Just a mild interest:

Is Ameriprise better than the prior AEFA?

Seems like Ameriprise is much worse than AEFA, judging by continual complaints, lawsuits and such as well as unhappy advisors.

Non responses will be considered lack of interest.  Smiley

The lawsuits are coming from cases back when Ameriprise was AEFA.

Thanks for responding ...but it seems that it is a worse company from what I've read here and they're not under the umbrella of that reputable company amex even though as evidenced here, amex sucks as an employer.  Amex was smart to unload afea -- I'll give them a point for this.

There appears to be plenty of lawsuits against Ameriprise and the good attorney, Mr. Drucker, has a current lawsuit against Ameriprise, too, if I'm not mistaken.

Surprised that more advisors aren't responding who worked at aefa and now work at Ameriprise.

I appreciate your view, but what do you mean "from what you've read here" they are a worse company?  There's a thread going on right now talking about how there is a severe lack of complaints from clients on this board.  The majority of posts come from an individual who is neither a former client nor a former advisor.  That's great that Mr. Drucker has a current case against Ameriprise, but if you look at any major corporation throughout the world there will always be at least a case or two pending against them at any given time.

I'm glad someone here finally appreciates my view.

Actually I could give two sheets about Ameriprise and I only gave one sheet about  aefa because I was a prior amex employee -- I can vouch that amex sucks and am familiar with aefa's prior hiring methods and aefa sucked.  Because this site has turned into an ameriprise sucks site, I asked the question.

Here's where I see the problem is with actually CAPTURING good, valid info about whether ameriprise sucks:

having some computer/keyboard issues here... bare with me.

No invites for unhappy fa's to post.

There should be two specific message categories for these.

Additionally, a specific message category for the lawsuits and known complaints from customers and from fa's.

So since I don't feel like hunting for this info and you can't easily see it here...I'll leave that up to you to investigate.

It does seem that there are MORE complaints against Ameriprise and the company is probably worse...

I'd suggest that the webmastdf\jkl

I think there's a sufficient invitation for unhappy FA's to post.  There are two categories aimed strictly for them, "My Life as an Ameriprise Advisor" and "I'm an Advisor and I want to leave Ameriprise".  If an unhappy advisor comes to this board and gets confused by those topic boards then they probably should leave the company!

Trust me, if someone is an unhappy advisor or client and they find this site they will troll around the entire thing looking for dirt.  They'll read every thread hoping to find something that relates specifically to whatever beef they have with the company themselves.
