Do I have any recourse with a credit card company that keeps changing the due date in order to get a $35.00 late fee out of me?
They went from the 21st to the 18th, from the 18th to the 16th, back to the 18th..
I pay my bill on the internet and know I should pay more attention to the fine print. But I'm actually not using the card, just trying to pay it off. I just look to make sure I don't have any charges on it, lay it aside, then go to the computer a couple of days before to make the payment. Twice now I have been charged the $35.00 fee because of not noticing the due date change. I have had this card a very long time and it has always been due the 21st of the month. They just started this in November.
I'd like to get out from under this card, but I owe too much on it and can't qualify for another card company to move to. Now have these late fees that do not look good on my credit.
Any advice or do I just accept it? Now I  log on to my bill the lst of the month and set it for the posted date due.
