Ok. In all honesty, I thought this site would be a great resource for those thousands of merchants like myself who have been screwed over by Paypal and Amex.
However, now that I am here, I cannot help but feel I was wrong. Having a great website such as this one while on every single page having a donate with paypal button is like being a vegetarian except for the times it is inconvenient.
Paypal accepts Visa, MasterCard, and of course AMEX. When you receive a donation via your paypal payment logo, you are accepting AMEX. You are not informed as to which credit card a payment/donation was made with. This was clear to you when you chose the paypal payment button you chose to put on your website as you had 3 choices of payment buttons for your site from within your paypal account. Two of the choices included the Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX icons and one did not. You have of course the one that does not.
Anyway, I sincerely do not wish to start something with the many members that have been screwed over by AMEX. I have been screwed over by AMEX and my company has suffered from that fact. However, Paypal was the original mediator between us as AMEX allows chargeback’s no questions asked for over 6 months and Paypal prefers AMEX over both MC and Visa and are of no help when screwed over by AMEX. They are also crooks on much greater scales which I will not go into, as this is not the proper forum in which to do so.
I am curious though to hear why it is that an Anti-AMEX forum/website accepts donations from the very company they claim to be against and warn others not to use. If you were against Sony, would it be ok then to purchase a Sony product from Best buy so long as it was not purchased from Sony directly?
Have a great evening everyone and best of luck in your fight.
Sincerely, Jason Russell
